Roland, Meyers engaged
Reid and Dr. Ann Meyers of San Antonio, Texas announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Reagan Cornell Meyers to Nicholas Keefauver Roland, son of David and Ingrid Roland of Farragut.

She is the granddaughter of Jean Hutchinson and the late Philip Hutchinson of Sarasota, Fla., and the late Roy and Emaline Meyers of Bellevue, Ohio.

He is the grandson of Doctor Hall C. and June Roland of Knoxville and the late Ernest and Elizabeth Keefauver of Jonesborough.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Tom C. Clark High School in San Antonio and a 2006 graduate of Western Washington University of Bellingham, Wash., where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in technical writing and marketing.

She is an event planner and fund raiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Seattle, Wash.

The groom-elect is a 2003 graduate of Farragut High School and a 2007 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Va., where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He currently is a Captain in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash.

In the fall of 2011, he will begin pursuing his PhD in History at the University of Texas in Austin.

The couple plans to be married Dec. 28 in San Antonio.

Richards, Zane join in holy matrimony
Hallie Catherine Richards and Zane Joseph Duncan joined in Holy Matrimony during a 5 p.m., May 21, ceremony held at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church with a reception followed at The Reserve at Bluebird Hill, Lenoir City.

The Reverend John Wood officiated.

The bride's parents are Steve and Sandy Richards of Knoxville. She is the granddaughter of the late Fred and Carol Richards Peters of Maryville and the late Edmund C. Richards of Leesburg, Fla., and Berlin and Wilma Austin of Pound, Va.

A 2004 graduate of Bearden High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Tennessee, she received a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies. She is currently special events coordinator for the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians in Knoxville.

The groom's parents are Congressman John J. Jr. and Lynn Duncan of Knoxville. He is the grandson the late John and Lois Duncan of Knoxville and Mrs. Marion Hawkins and the late Herbert Hawkins of Swannee.

A 2004 graduate of Farragut High School and a 2008 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, he received a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology. He currently is a public relations manager for R. J. Corman Railroad Group.

Maid of Honor was Jessica Cleckner of Millington and Mackenzie Ellington of Knoxville. Best men were Jimmy Duncan and John Duncan of Knoxville.

The bride's wedding party members were Brittany Bailes of Denver, Colo., Whitney Brown, Margaret Burgin, Tara Richardson of Knoxville, Rebecca Cowell of Blairsville, Ga., Stephaine Dobitsch of Arlington, Va., Jessica Odom of Houston, Texas, Amber Ratliff of Denver, Colo., Rachel Sherbakoff of Nashville, and Molly Teague of Charlotte, N.C.

The groom's wedding party members were Steve Bankston, Michael Brezina, Zach Brezina, Jason Brown, Ryan Haynes, Bryn Richardson of Knoxville, Zack Gray of Columbia, Chad Richards of Arlington, Va., and Chad Smith of Maryville.

The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii and now reside in Knoxville.
