• Aug. 30: Knox County Sheriffs Office was notified by a Midhurst Drive resident of the theft of about $1,200 in jewelry from the home. The complainant stated a white female friend of her son stopped by her house. As the woman was leaving she asked to use the restroom, which is located off the victim’s bedroom. The complainant stated she later discovered the jewelry missing. The complainant advised police sources informed her the suspect had been seen with the jewelry and that the suspect had pawned the items at a pawnshop located off Kingston Pike in the Bearden area.
