Brie national champ

Brie Carter, 15, a Farragut High School sophomore, won her third water skiing national championship, this one a Girls 3 Slalom among the nation’s best high-school aged competition in Chicago, Ill., Saturday, Aug. 13.



Lady Ads blank OR

Two Blair Rhodes goals, and one each from Skylar Brewer and Amy Albaugh, helped Farragut (5-0-2) blank Oak Ridge (7-2-0) 4-0 Saturday night, Sept. 10, at Farragut Intermediate School.


BHS 38th in nation

Starting the season 6-0-1 against a tough schedule, Bearden's Lady Bulldogs soccer team is ranked No. 38 nationally in ESPN's Powerade Fab 50.



CAK 39th in USA

With a 1-0 win against then-No. 24 nationally ranked Houston Saturday, Sept. 3, Christian Academy of Knoxville's Lady Warriors soccer team (4-0-1) moved into the 39th spot nationally among ESPN's Powerade Fab 50.



Ray notches 600th

With one TSSAA Division II-A state runner-up finish in 13 years coaching Webb School of Knoxville volleyball, Dennis Ray notched his 600th Lady Spartans win after beating Oak Ridge 25-19, 25-20 Thursday, Sept. 1.



Browning at Pikeville

Reese Browning, former Farragut High School All-state quarterback (Class of 2010), recently transferred from UT-Chattanooga to become back-up quarterback at University of Pikeville, an NAIA school in Pikeville, Ky.



BHS pair under par

Bearden golfers Kelli Pemberton and Tucker Roof, who led their BHS teams to victories at Clinchview Golf & Country Club course last week, became the first Bulldogs girls-boys pair to shoot under par (32, nine holes) in the same event since 2004.
