FHS, Reeves No. 1

While Mitchell Thomas and Cole Selecman finished tied for second (71) in leading Farragut to the District 4-AAA boys golf team title Monday, Sept.19, at Lambert Acres in Blount County (287), No. 2 finisher Bearden (293) was led by district individual champ Ben Reeves (69).

Gosselin 3-AAA champ

District 3-AAA golf champ Wes Gosselin of Hardin Valley Academy fired a 68, leading HVA to a No. 2 team finish during tourney play at Millstone in Morristown Thursday, Sept. 15.

Dukes district No. 1

While Abby Dukes of Hardin Valley Academy won the District 3-AAA individual title, she and teammate McCall Beckler (103) led HVA to a No. 2 team finish.

Pemberton is champ

Bearden senior Kelli Pemberton was individual District 4-AAA girls golf tourney champ (72), while teammate Bailey Edwards’ third-place finish (76) combined to give BHS the girls team title.

FHS frosh pair No. 3

Led by freshman Kayland Boling’s fifth-place finish (79), and freshman Elizabeth Keeling’s 83, Farragut girls golf finished third in District 4-AAA tourney Monday, Sept. 19, at Lambert Acres, Blount County.

No. 2 Lady Ads 4-0

Including victories against Maryville (2-1), Soddy-Daisy (1-0), Ooltewah (2-0) and Blackman (9-0), Farragut’s No. 2 state-ranked Lady Ads soccer team improved its unbeaten record to 10-0-2.

Adams, Keller win 5k

Bradley Adams captured Overall Male Open champion honors at 16th Annual Farragut Fall 5k, Fun Walk and Pet Parade in and around Mayor Bob Leonard Park Saturday morning, Sept. 17 (17:39), while Jasmin Keller was Overall Female Open champ (20:26.1).

FHS frosh win again

Still undefeated, Farragut High School's freshman football team defeated McMinn County 13-6 Monday, Sept. 12, led by a touchdown catch from Grant Valeriano to Franklin Stooksbury, a TD run from Jeremiah Partin and defensive play from tackle Juan Aranda.
