Business Alliance revamps logo

One of the first things Farragut Business Alliance’s new executive director, Allison Sousa, has undertaken is changing the “Shop Farragut” logo.

The logo was minimally altered, Sousa said, to make it more conducive to year-round use. The FBA hopes to expand “Shop Farragut” from merely a holiday campaign.

“Ultimately, we envision ‘Shop Farragut’ as a year-round campaign, so we needed to play with the existing logo a bit to make it a little less holiday-themed so it would lend itself better to a year-round campaign,” Sousa said.

Sale tag icons emphasize the retail component of “Shop Farragut,” she said, while the logo’s colors tie into the colors of Farragut Business Alliance’s logo, and an anchor denotes Farragut.

This year’s holiday “Shop Farragut” kicks off Nov. 19 and ends Dec. 31.

Businesses interested in participating can fill out forms available at www.farragutbusiness.com/

The deadline to be included in all advertising this year is Friday, Nov. 11.

Businesses can join after that deadline, but will not be included in all advertising.

Sousa said expanding “Shop Farragut” to a year-round program could include incremental “seasonal bursts” at first.

“For example, we might start by adding a back to school ‘Shop Farragut,’ and the following year we might add something in the spring,” Sousa said.

“But none of that has been nailed down specifically,” she added.

FBA likely will look at strategic planning for “Shop Farragut” next summer, and will build from there.
