Home of the brave ...


Chorus groups from Farragut High and Intermediate schools joined forces and performed a free concert Thursday, Nov. 3, to honor members of the Armed Forces and their families.

The students performed “Home of the Brave,” a patriotic musical.

“Sometimes people forget what [service members] do for our country ... so we wanted to get up there and have fun and show the community how important [our Armed Forces] are and [the United States] is,” Robert Wrinkle, an FHS senior, said.

Kenton Deitch, FHS chorus director, said the program was assisted greatly by the FIS fifth-grade volunteer choir and Ray Watson, a substitute teacher at FHS, who narrated the program.

The biggest audience reaction came when Watson recognized each military
