Wells, Crawford wed
Laura Beth Wells and David Andrew Crawford joined in

Holy Matrimony during a 5:30 p.m., Aug. 1, ceremony held at Rhinecliff Hotel in Rhinecliff, N.Y.

Dean Martin, uncle of the groom, officiated.

The bride’s parents are Hugh and Vickie Wells of Farragut. She is the granddaughter of the late Jesse and Roxine Butcher of Halls and the late Hugh and Lois Wells of South Knoxville.

A 1993 graduate of Farragut High School, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997 in musical theatre from the University of Tennessee and a Masters degree in musical theatre in 2000 from Kent State, Ohio. She plays the role of Emily Osborn, wife of Green Goblin, at Foxwoods Theatre in “Spiderman Turn Off the Dark” on Broadway in New York City, N.Y.

The groom’s parents are Dr. and Mrs. George W. Crawford of Pittsburgh, Pa. He is the grandson of Daisy Crawford Marlin and the late Donald Marlin, James and Agnes Crawford of Pittsburgh.

A 1995 graduate of Quaker Valley High School, Sewickley, Pa., he received a Bachelor of Science degree in vocal performance from Ohio Wesylan and in 2002 he received a Masters Degree in vocal performance from Boston University. He is the full time Principal Artist at New York’s Metropolitan Opera. He sings bass.

Maid of Honor was Brandy Rowell of New York. Best Man was Tony Stevenson of West Orange, N.J.

The bridemaids were Eleanor Handley and Matthew Gray of New York. Flower Girl was the groom’s niece, Alexis Crawford of Canton, Ohio.

The groomsmen were Joshua Bouchard of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Thomas Crawford, Sr. of Canton. Jr. Groomsman was the groom’s nephew, Tommy Crawford of Canton.

The couple honeymooned in Mexico and reside in Manhattan, N.Y.
