• Dec. 15: Knox County Sheriff’s Office was notified by a Hickory Knoll Lane resident of the theft of a vehicle license plate while the vehicle was parked at Sir Gooney’s Golf off Kingston Pike.

• Dec. 14: A representative of SDR Construction reported to police the theft of a 13-foot utility trailer from a Campbell Lakes Drive site. Complainant stated the company name is all over the trailer.

• Dec. 12: Officers responded to Kohl’s department store in Farragut in response to two shoplifters who had been detained by store loss prevention staff. Kohl’s loss prevention officer state he observed the two subjects, a West 9th Avenue resident and a Lloyd Lane resident, concealing merchandise on their persons and exiting the store without paying. Value of the theft was about $400. Complainant added upon investigation he discovered items in the suspects’ vehicle allegedly stolen from Target. Officers questioned the two women, one of whom admitted to taking items from Target. KCSO advised Knoxville Police Department of the apprehension. KPD replied it would not respond since Target had not reported a loss.


• Dec. 12: A Buckley Road man reported to police someone entered his vehicle and stole his GPS device, CDs and a Motorola phone charger. Loss was about $400.

• Dec. 9: A Gwinhurst Road man reported to police unknown suspects took roofing materials from his driveway. Loss was about $300.

• Dec. 9: Police were dispatched to Kohl’s department store in Farragut in response to a theft of property by an employee claim. One of two suspects, both Franun Street residents, was being held in Kohl’s Loss Prevention office accused of depriving Kohl’s of more than $800 in merchandise and cash from her cash register. The loss was discovered Nov. 19. However, an investigation could not be completed then because the suspect was out sick.

• Dec. 7: A representative of Walmart off Parkside Drive notified KCSO of a theft in progress. Complainant advised the suspect, a Johnson Road woman, had taken and concealed a toothbrush and hair mousse by putting them in her purse and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for it. The suspect was stopped as she was getting into her vehicle and admitted to taking the merchandise, which was still in her purse. Total value of the merchandise is $8.45. Suspect was arrested and her vehicle towed to Sutherland Avenue.
