Fox Den toy drive concludes

Fox Den Country Club’s 14th annual Holiday Toy Drive was a big success thanks to the generous donations from the club’s members and employees.

The toy drive was held from Thanksgiving Day through Thursday, Dec. 15. Toys were picked up by Child and Family Tennessee representatives, including President and CEO, Dan Hoxworth Friday morning.

“We would like to thank Fox Den Country Club members and staff so much for truly showing the spirit of Christmas with our children and youth at Child & Family Tennessee,” Hoxworth said. “They have exemplified the meaning of Christmas with their generosity. Their gifts will bring a smile to the faces of children who have confronted adversity this past year, bringing a much needed respite to their lives.”

Club members were asked to donate new, unwrapped toys and gifts for all ages, for those children in Knoxville seeking help through Child and Family Tennessee’s “Dear Santa” program. The toy drive was orchestrated by communications assistant Jessica Kalin along with the entire Fox Den staff.

The Holiday Toy Drive began in 1997 and has continued to grow over 14 years. Initially, the toy drive only brought in a few boxes of toys, but the outpouring of generosity this year filled two passenger vans with toys, dolls, books, games, skateboards and bicycles. Members also contributed monetarily with checks and gift cards.
