• Bishop Richard F. Stika will pray a “Rosary for Life” at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, across the street from the abortion clinic off South Concord Street in Knoxville. Parish members are invited to join him.

• Two Rivers Church will hold a men’s retreat, themed “Follow Me,” Jan. 20-22, at Cohutta Springs Conference Center in Georgia. Speaker is David Gruhn, new pastor of outreach at Two Rivers. Space is limited.

• Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church will host its women’s spring retreat from April 20-22 at Bear Claw Lodge in Gatlinburg. Cost for the weekend is $80; cost for Saturday only is $25. • The leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Knoxville, Tennessee Stake recently changed. Elder Paul E. Koelliker of the Quorum of the Seventy came out from Church headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, to make the change in the Stake Presidency. Thomas E. Clapp Jr. has been called as new Knoxville Tennessee Stake president. He will preside over the ten units in the Knoxville, Tennessee Stake. His counselors are Brad Orme and David Lee, both of Farragut.

• Cornerstone Church of God, 12813 Kingston Pike, will open its doors Monday nights to anyone who wishes to stop by and have a prayer time, either collectively or individually. 

• Three Diocese of Knoxville priests with more than a century’s worth of combined service to the Church have been named monsignors, Bishop Richard F. Stika has announced. Receiving the papal honors are Monsignor Pat Garrity, diocesan vicar for priests and pastor of St. John Neumann Parish in Farragut; Monsignor George Schmidt, rector of the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul in Chattanooga, and Monsignor Bob Hofstetter, pastor of Good Shepherd Parish in Newport. The three priests will be invested with the papal honors at a Vespers service at Sacred Heart Cathedral at a date to be announced. Stika will preside.

• Concord Adult Day Enrichment Services hosts monthly Caregiver’s Support Group meetings from 10 to 11:30 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month in Room 226 at Concord United Methodist Church, 11020 Roane Drive. Anyone in the community who gives care to an elderly individual is welcome to attend. Refreshments are provided. Call 865-675-2835.
