• MOORE, Stratton Clark,
age 28, of Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011. Stratton enjoyed sports, boating, cooking, his pets and traveling, but most importantly was a loving father and son. He was preceded in death by his son, Zachary Moore; grandparents, Clark J. Nelson, Stratton Moore and Vonda Roe Moore. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Moore; mother and stepfather, Jennifer and Rick Dearholt; father, Terry Moore Sr.; brothers, Terry Lee Moore Jr., Shawn Dearholt, Joseph Dearholt, Steven Dearholt; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; grandparents, maternal grandmother, Ann C. • MIDDLETON, Janice Tull,
age 82, of Farragut, formerly of Union City passed away at her home on Dec. 27, 2011. She was a charter member of the Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was retired from the Knox County Schools system. She was an English teacher for 40 years with her last 18 years at Farragut High School. Her most important contribution was serving the Lord as a pastor’s wife in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 55 years. She was very involved in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Camp for more than 20 years, taught Sunday School, was a leader in the Cumberland Presbyterian Women activities. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, the Rev. Bill Middleton; daughter, Mary Jo Middleton Williams and husband, David; son, Scott Middleton and fiancée, Lynette Dillow, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life was Friday at Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jeff Sledge officiating. Interment followed at Virtue Cemetery. • LAWHORN, Betty Hall,
age 83, of Concord passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 31, 2011, at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a very dedicated member of Concord Presbyterian Church. Betty was retired from The University of Tennessee after 24 years of service. She loved to travel, read, was a loyal UT sports fan and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Howard Lawhorn; parents, Bill and Helen Hall; brother, Bill Hall. Betty is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Debbie Lawhorn, Brian and Sigrid Lawhorn; daughters and sons-in-law, Teri and Mike Berger, Jan and Steve Powell; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sister, Barbara Beeler and husband, J.A.; brother, Frank Hall and wife, Nancy; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 6:45 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with the Rev. David Webster officiating.
