Wellness Center offers first iLipo in area

Tammy and Anthony Cabrera have opened Healthy Lifestyle Wellness Center off Campbell Station Road and hope to help area residents feel and look their best.

“We basically want to make you feel better and look better and we’re customized to each individual,” Tammy said.

Healthy Lifestyle Wellness Center offers nutrition and exercise counseling, weight loss solutions and “medical aesthetics,” including Botox and Juvederm.

“We are a medically based clinic,” Tammy, a nurse practitioner, said. Her husband and business co-owner, Anthony, is an MD and works at The University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Health Lifestyle is the only office in the area to offer I-Lipo, a “safe alternative to liposuction” that uses lasers, Tammy said.

“It’s totally non-invasive and you can spot-treat with it,” she added. Where liposuction invasively cuts and removes fat cells, I-Lipo deflates the cells and encourages the fat to drain through the body’s lymphatic system.

“There’s no downtime at all. You can come in and do it on your lunch hour,” Tammy said.

Among the skin services the Center offers are microdermabrasion and chemical peels. Weight loss products include appetite suppressants, protein supplements and bio-identical hormones.

Tammy said the Center’s weight loss programs are individually geared, so there is no set program.

“Basically we try to gear meal plans toward the person we’re interacting with to fit their lifestyle so they can be successful long-term,” she said.

“We’re able to monitor them closely as far as getting the proper nutrition, looking for side effects, making sure their blood pressure and vital signs are stable and they’re not having any untoward, adverse reactions to anything,” she added.

In addition to being a nurse practitioner, Tammy is a nutritional coach, certified through Venice Nutrition, and an “advanced injector” in both Botox and Juvederm, she said.

“I’m a very conservative injector. It’s not a one-size fits all. It’s all based on treatments we see necessary, whether it be anti-aging, acne, rosacea,” she said.

“We’re not frou-frou,” she added.

Healthy Lifestyle Wellness Center, 110 N. Campbell Station Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to noon, Fridays.

Additional hours are available by appointment.

Healthy Lifestyle does not accept insurance, but will draft a super bill that can be taken to insurance companies in a request for reimbursement.
