Brookby, Braden engaged
Robert and Kathleen Brookby of Winston-Salem, N.C., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Katharine “Katy” Brookby, to Mark Edward Braden, son of James and Catherine Braden.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Ross, Jr. of Saratoga, Calif. and Mrs. Harry D. Brookby and the late Mr. Harry D. Brookby of Bartlesville, Okla.

He is the grandson of Mr. Lynn Sheeley, Jr. of Fort Myers, Fla., the late Mrs. Lynn Sheeley Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Braden of Ripley, W. Va.

The bride-elect, was a 2000 graduate of Forsyth Country Day School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Sewanee, The University of the South and recently completed her master’s degree in city and regional planning from The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Farragut High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee. He is currently serving as campaign manager to U.S. Sen. Bob Corker’s re-election campaign.

The wedding ceremony will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Winston-Salem, Saturday, Sept. 8, with a reception following at The Graylyn Estate.

The couple will reside in Nashville.
