went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 18, 2012. Born November 12, 1922 in Rogersville, Tennessee, the daughter of Edith Mitchell Hale and Frank Fulkerson Hale, she was a lifelong resident of East Tennessee. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, Tennessee and the University of Tennessee. Dottie, as she was fondly known, was an avid supporter of UT athletics. After following Hank across the United States and back while he was on active duty in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War, the family settled in Knoxville in 1952. After that time, Dottie worked at Bowen’s Jewelers in Bearden Center, Nancy Lynn Fashions corporate offices and at the office for her son-in-law, Dr. Fred B. Kaserman until her retirement. Dottie has been a member of Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church since 1952 when the church was chartered. She was a member of a special Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church ladies prayer group that has met for over 25 years, praying for the needs of the church family. Dottie is survived by her loving family: Her children, Edith (Dickie) Dent Kaserman and husband, Dr. Fred B. Kaserman, and Henry Minor (Dan) Dent, III and wife, Pat Dent; her grandchildren, to whom she was devoted, Jeanie, Bart, and Hugh Kaserman, Lara Dent Ford, and husband Dan Ford, Wilson Dent and wife, Claire Dent; her great-grandchildren, who caused her face to light up, Anna and Dot Kaserman, and Zachary Dent.
