Strategic Cinema assisting non-profits, other worthy enterprises

Strategic Cinema, a Farragut-based marketing firm, now offers discounted pricing and packages to non-profits and other worthy enterprises in the area.

“A lot of the small groups don’t have a lot of funds dedicated to marketing and things of that nature, so we offer that at a significantly discounted rate,” Robert “Rob” Voigt, founder and owner of Strategic Cinema, said.

“This is our way of giving back to the community,” Brittany Voigt, co-owner, said.

“We understand the importance of giving back to the community and helping to ensure local causes have access to the same high tech, cutting-edge marketing tactics that larger for-profit companies and corporations enjoy,” Rob, a Farragut entrepreneur and town of Farragut Personnel Committee member, said. “I just thought [the discount] is a fair playing field [for the non-profit organizations].”

Robert and Brittany Voigt, as an offshoot of their real estate business, The Voigt Group, LLC., started Strategic Cinema at 11414-C Kingston Pike a year ago, Rob said. The group focuses on creative strategies for incorporating technology and traditional methodologies into a comprehensive marketing, public relations and advertising plan.

“We started doing this [marketing service] just within our own real estate firm that we own here in Farragut,” he said. “The more publicity we got, the more people started requesting [the services]. In time, it had to become a business in and of itself so it branched off and became Strategic Cinema.

The business is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays. For more information about Strategic Cinema, call 865-560-6088, e-mail to strategiccinema@gmail.com or visit online at strategic-cinema.com.

“We quickly started offering numerous services tailored to real estate agents, developers, contractors and event planners.”

The discount program started four months ago, after the Voigts’ church, Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian, contracted Rob to shoot a short commercial for the facility and grounds.

“[Members of] Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian, came to us and asked us if we could see about getting their name out there somehow, and that’s where the nonprofit started,” he said.

“We finished the video, got it online, and quickly realized what a huge impact us doing the commercial had on the church and its members.

“Smaller churches don’t always have huge budgets for marketing or spreading their message, so being able to do that for them was a huge blessing,” Rob said. “It blessed them, but the real blessing was felt by me when I realized that I really could make a difference.

The discount allows small non-profit organizations to have the same type of marketing, benefits, tools and resources at their disposal as bigger business or organization, he said.

Word about the service is getting out to non-profit organizations.

“At first it was a little lagging, a little slow, because I think some of them just assume [the cost] is going to be too much instead of contacting us,” Rob said. “So, we brand ourselves and connect with them. Since then, we’ve had a lot of interest and a lot of people starting to trickle in and use our services so we can get their names out there.”

Strategic Cinema uses such tools as commercials, social media strategies, drone/aerial video, CAD floor plans and drawings and print materials.

“We know without a doubt that the most important thing we do as a company is give back to the community that supported us as we grew,” Rob said. “It sounds cliché, but we wouldn’t be where we are today without the support and help we received from friends, family and our community, and it is our honor and privilege to help those that helped us and do so much good in our community.

“As a small business owner myself, I know how difficult it is, with the finances and budget you have to have for certain areas within your business, and I know non-profits only can use what they have coming in,” he said.
