• It looks like the (Town of) Farragut officials are frustrating, sidetracking and stonewalling Hy-Vee; they don’t appear to want a business that produces lots of sales tax in Farragut. Hy-Vee (officials) have been working for over a year to try and put a big merchandise store with a lot of jobs and a lot of sales tax on (a private property field along Kingston Pike about one-fourth of a mile west of its intersection with Campbell Station Road).

Also, I understand that the Panera Bread deal took seven months (with Town officials), but they frustrated (Panera’s) site plan, and Panera Bread is not coming to Farragut, either. It looks like Farragut is really not friendly to business.

We have Shop Farragut advertisements all the time — but they don’t really love business in Farragut. And soon we’ll have a (Town) homeowners tax.
