Hardin Valley Academy

Hardin Valley Academy’s 442 graduates received their diplomas to culminate the school’s Commencement Ceremony in HVA Stadium Friday, May 26. The evening marked recognition for top students, such as valedictorian Grace Deckard, salutatorian Eli Johnson, Hawk Award recipient Valeria Covarrubias, five who enlisted in the military and all students who were offered $23,514,478 in scholarships.



Bearden High School

While setting a school record with $36,255,176 in total scholarship dollars, Bearden High School’s Class of 2023 was celebrated with a Commencement Ceremony taking place on campus in a packed John H. Burnette Stadium, on Bill Young Field, Wednesday evening, May 31.

Speakers addressing the class of roughly 450 graduates featured BHS principal Deborah K. Sayers. Also among the speakers were valedictorian Kathleen Hartono and class president Rayna Joshi.

Among those attending was Dr. Jon Rysewyk, Knox County Schools superintendent, who joined Sayers during the diploma ceremony.
