In our Nov. 1 Sports section, a page 1B photo of a Farragut youth football player holding the Eighth-Grade team MAC Varsity championship trophy was mis-identified.
The correct name of the player is Gavin McClurkin.
While we regret the error on behalf of the young player not properly credited, and on behalf of the family of the young player improperly identified, Cade Fugate, farragutpress identified the player according to the roster turned in to the public address announcer — the roster did not include Gavin, who wore the same number as Cade during this game.
