Give Town Center input: 2 ways

From Mark Shipley, Farragut Community Development director: “A second round of public input regarding future development of Farragut’s Town Center area begins with a new online survey. The survey provides an opportunity to respond to land use concepts developed by Tunnell-Spangler & Associates based on input received during the first round of public input in the summer of 2023.

“TSW was hired to develop a vision plan for this area and provide other updates to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Take the survey at townoffarragut.org/survey. Deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, March 24.

“This round of public input will also include two public meetings at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in Farragut Community Center (239 Jamestowne Blvd.). The public is encouraged to complete the survey and attend a meeting to learn more about the concepts developed by TSW.

“The area around the intersection of Campbell Station Road and Kingston Pike was designated Mixed Use Town Center to encourage development of a downtown area, a desire that has long been expressed by Farragut residents.

“Over the past few years, abandoned buildings at the intersection of Kingston Pike and Campbell Station Road have been redeveloped, and the iconic Campbell Station Inn has been restored and beautified by a new plaza.

“:The Town Center at Biddle Farms project is under way with a mixture of housing, commercial/office and public spaces.

“Now, the Town would like to create a vision for the rest of the MUTC area.”
