Concord Market now open
The store carries beer, non-alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and snacks, but fishermen still find what they need as well.
The store sells rods, reels, fishing line, lures, worms, minnows and more.
However, “mostly, it’s a convenience store,” said Concord Mart owner Harshad Patel. “For a long time, this (location) had a fishing store.”
C & C Outdoors, which closed Dec. 21, was in business at that spot, located just before the Concord Road/Northshore Drive roundabout, for 13 years.
Asked by a number of customers to put fishing items back in the store, Patel said he obliged.
This is his first business venture.
“It’s a little hard (to own a business), but not too bad, actually,” Patel said.
