• Tennessee Valley Fair’s Foundation director Kristen Bright recently received the Certified Fair Executive designation from International Association of Fairs and Expositions.

She is only the fourth person in the state to receive the CFE designation.

Bright began her career with TVF in 2016 as a social media intern while finishing her studies at UT’s Haslam College of Business. Since then, she also worked as the sponsorship and special events coordinator, 100th Fair Celebration coordinator and historian and foundation director.

• Anice Jones and Amanda Ortiz recently joined the growing team of EXIT TLC Realty real estate sales professionals at EXIT TLC Realty, 149 Kelsey Lane Suite 102, Lenoir City.

• Weichert, Realtors - Advantage Plus, recently added Felisha Bissahoyo and Laura Owens to its team at 10160 Parkside Drive Suite 100, Knoxville.

• Knoxville Habitat for Humanity has announced it will receive $46,500 in grant funding by Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee to build two new homes in Knox County.

The funding comes as part of a $500,000 grant from Tennessee Housing Development Agency that is being shared with other state HH organizations. Knoxville Habitat and its sister organizations throughout the state will apply the grant toward construction of 20 new homes for qualified first-time homebuyers.

• American Red Cross East Tennessee Chapter recently recognized its exceptional volunteers who continue to work tirelessly to help people in need. This year’s award winners are: Bobby Blymiller, ETN DSC Chapter Award, and Anna Fritz, Humanitarian Chapter Award for Volunteer Service.
