• On Saturday, Dec. 3, at around 6:06 p.m., Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kohl’s department store, 11530 Kingston Pike, Farragut, to a report of a shoplifter. Com-plainant stated she observed the arrestee, a 25-year-old white female, selecting several items and taking them into the dressing room and concealing them. The suspect was found in possession with several items concealed in her child’s stroller under the child in the storage area of the stroller. There also were clothes found in her bags that she walked past the point of sale without an attempt to pay for the items. The items were returned to the store and the suspect was taken into custody and transported to Knox County detention facility. A DCS referral was made of the incident. Arrestee was given a trespass warning. Estimated loss is $356.

• On Dec. 4 at around 1:30 p.m., KCSO responded to Kohl’s for a theft by shoplifting. Complainant reported that she observed the suspect, a 16-year-old white female, take merchandise and then suspect exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Suspect had gone into the fitting room, removed earrings from its package, and put them in her purse. Suspect admitted to taking the merchandise. Merchandise was recovered from the suspect’s purse. The merchandise total was $36, which is a Class A misdemeanor. Suspect was arrested and released.

• On Dec. 5 at around 10:54 a.m., a South Williamsburg Drive victim stated to KCSO he was asleep when he heard his xBox gaming system turning on. Victim opened his bedroom door and saw an unknown white male standing in his living room holding his xBox. Victim stepped back into his bedroom and attempted to close and lock the door but the suspect dropped the xBox gaming system and pushed open the bedroom door. Suspect then produced a fixed-blade knife and put it to the victim’s face and told him not to move and asked if he had any money. Victim stated he then told the suspect he had cash in a shoe on the floor. The suspect knelt beside the pair of shoes on the floor, pulled the cash from the shoe, and fled the residence out the front door. Front door also was the point of entry. Estimated loss is $500.

• On Dec. 6, at around 3:43 p.m., KCSO officers responded to Belk department store, 11417 Parkside Drive, Farragut, in reference to a shoplifting. The witness stated he witnessed the arrestees, two 20-year-old white males, conceal clothes and underwear and pass all points of purchase in an attempt to deprive Belk of the value of the property. Property totaled $219.99. Arrestees did not dispute the witness’ statements. Arrestees were transported to Knox County detention facility.

• On Dec. 7, at around 5:09 p.m., KCSO responded to Belk for a theft by shoplifting. Complainant reported that he observed the suspect, a 36-year-old white female, take merchandise and then suspect exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Suspect admitted to taking the merchandise. Merchandise was recovered from the suspect’s purse. Merchandise total was $236.36, which is a Class A misdemeanor. Suspect was arrested.

• On Wednesday, Dec. 7, at around 3:19 p.m., KCSO responded to Kohl’s while working the Shoplifting Task Force, in regards to a theft. Upon arrival, complainant stated that she did witness, a 34-year-old white female, conceal merchandise and exit the business.

• On Dec. 6, at around 8:51 p.m., KCSO officers responded to an attempted theft of a vehicle at a Fort West Drive location. The victim stated that while the suspect, a friend who is a 29-year-old white female, was staying at his residence the suspect stole the keys to his vehicle. When he arrived home he found the suspect in his vehicle with a key trying to start the vehicle. Victim confronted the suspect and the suspect took off on foot. The victim stated he did not give the suspect permission to take his vehicle. Victim had a report made on theft of the keys and other items.

• On Dec. 9, 2016, at around midnight, KCSO officers responded to a burglary at Big Kahuna’s restaurant, 12828 Kingston Pike, Farragut. Officers answered an alarm at the business at :05 a.m. and when the victim, owner, arrived he stated that the business had been broken into and money had been taken out of the filing cabinet. The suspect entered into the business through a window in the kitchen. The window did not appear to be forced open but left open from the inside. The suspect forced open the filing cabinet and stole the money from the bags and cash register tray and then unlocked the back door and left the business. Estimated loss is about $1,200.



• On Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at around 4:53 p.m., KCSO responded to Best Buy, 11491 Parkside Drive, Farragut, while working the Shoplifting Task Force, in regards to an attempted theft. Upon arrival, complainant stated that an unknown white female attempted to conceal merchandise in her purse and exit the store. Complainant further stated that the merchandise fell out of her purse before she exited the business. Complainant was unsure if the female had any other merchandise at time of report. Estimated loss was $300.

• On Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at around 5:31 p.m., KCSO responded to CPR Phone Repair, 11615 Parkside Drive, while working the Shoplifting Task Force, in regards to a theft. Upon arrival, complainant stated that an unknown white female did exit the business with merchandise she did not purchase valued at $109.20. Complainant further stated that she does have the female on video. The suspect was not present upon officers arrival.

• On Friday, Dec. 09, 2016, at around 7:59 p.m., KCSO responded to Belk department store, 11397 Parkside Drive, Farragut, while working the Shoplifting Task Force in regards to a theft. Upon arrival, complainant stated that he did witness, a 24-year-old white male, conceal merchandise valued at $24 and exit the business. Suspect was taken into custody. A criminal trespass warning was given. Belk did take possession of the merchandise.

• On Dec. 11, 2016, at 10:43 p.m., KCSO officers were dispatched to an alarm at Big Kahuna Wings 12828 Kingston Pike, Farragut. Upon arrival a window on the west side of the building was discovered to be broken, while clearing the building a filing cabinet was discovered to be open with two empty bank bags in and around. After speaking with complainant he stated that there was a total of $800 in cash between the two bags and the value of the broken window to be about $400. X-ray officer responded and processed the scene. This did occur in Farragut.

• On Dec. 8 at around 8:27 p.m., a Laurel Brooke lane complainant advised KCSO that an unknown suspect took a Christmas Star Shower light from her front yard. The complainant stated she had four of the laser lights, and two of them were taken. The complainant advised she noticed the items were missing when she got home from work. The complainant was advised to contact Teleserve if more information arises. Estimated loss is $60.

• On Dec. 12 at around 1:34 p.m., a North Purdue Avenue complainant stated between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Dec. 8, an unknown suspect gained entry into her vehicle by unknown means and took her tablet while it was parked at Mellow Mushroom restaurant, 635 N. Campbell Station Road. She advised no damage was done to the vehicle to gain entry. She was advised to call back with a serial number for NCIC entry. Estimated loss is $1,000.

• On Dec. 12, 2016, at around 3:58 p.m., KCSO was working security at the Petro’s truck stop at 722 N. Watt Road. The complainant store manager stated that she had video footage of the suspect, a 40-year-old white male employee, stealing money and cigarettes over the past few weeks. The suspect admitted this when confronted. The suspect was fired and was given a trespass warning. Estimated loss $105.56.

• On Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at around 1:18 p.m., KCSO responded to Best Buy, 11491 Parkside Drive, Farragut, while working the Shoplifting Task Force in regards to a theft. Upon arrival, victim/complainant stated that he did witness an unknown white female walking at a very fast pace to exit the business. Complainant further stated that as she exited the theft sensor alarm went off. The female got into an older silver Ford Crown Victoria and left the scene prior to officers arrival. Complainant is not sure what was taken at time of report. Estimated loss is unknown.

• On Dec. 15, 2016, at around 5:09 p.m., KCSO responded to Walmart, 10900 Parkside Drive, for a theft by shoplifting in progress. Complainant/witness/loss prevention reported that he observed the suspect, a 19-year-old white male, go into the restroom, open and conceal merchandise on his person, then left the store making no attempt to pay for the merchandise. Merchandise total was $202.23, which is a class A misdemeanor. Suspect admitted to taking the merchandise. Suspect was arrested and the property was recovered. There is Walmart security video of the incident.

• On Dec. 15 at around 5:09 p.m., a complainant with Tennova Primary Care Farragut, 110 N. Campbell Station Road, advised between 4:30 p.m., Dec. 12, and 7:30 a.m., Dec. 15, $123 was taken by an unknown suspect. Complainant stated $20 was taken from a petty cash box in one office, $83 from another cash box in a second office and $20 taken from a desk drawer as well.

• On Dec. 17, 2016, at around 3:12 p.m., KCSO responded to Best Buy, 11491 Parkside Drive for a theft by shoplifting. Complainant/witness/loss prevention reported that he observed the suspect, a 31-year-old white female, take merchandise, conceal it in her purse and then attempted to exit the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Suspect admitted to taking the merchandise. Merchandise was recovered from the suspect’s purse. The merchandise total was $259.95, which is a Class A misdemeanor. Suspect was arrested. There is Best Buy security video of the incident.

• On Dec. 16, 2016, at 5:59 a.m., KCSO officers were dispatched to an alarm at a condo in Renaissance | farragut, 12748 Kingston Pike. Upon arrival, it was noticed that the side door on the east side of the structure had been broken and the door was ajar. After clearing the structure, it was noticed that the cash register had been broken into and the money had been stolen. Property owner stated that there had been $510 in the cash register. Xray tech was notified and processed the scene. Estimated loss is $2,710.

• On Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at around 5:22 p.m., KCSO responded to AT&T store, 11555 Parkside Drive, Farragut, while working the Shoplifting Task Force in regards to a theft. Upon arrival, victim/complainant stated that on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at around 6:30 p.m., two unknown Hispanic males entered the business and took one of the phones, an Apple iPhone 7, off the display (retail price $749.99) and left the scene.

• On Dec. 16, 2016, at around 8:03 p.m., KCSO responded to an attempted business burglary at Farragut Corporate Center, 11121 Kingston Pike, Farragut. Upon arrival I made contact with the victim who stated upon his arrival he observed the front door to his business was unlocked (he did not enter). Upon KCSO investigation officer observed the side window was open (no force/no damage). It appeared the suspect opened the side window knocking the phone over and some random office items on the desk that was positioned in front of the window, and exited out the front door. Victim stated nothing was missing or damaged. X-Ray 5 responded to process the scene.

• On Dec. 17 at 8:04 a.m., KCSO officers responded to a burglary of a business at 11020 Kingston Pike. The victim, owner of Tmedsatellite, discovered that his business had been broken into sometime during the night. The victim had no suspect information and stated that no items were taken from the business. X-Ray unit officer responded to process the scene. Estimated loss is $500.

• On Dec. 17, 2016, at around 5:54 p.m., KCSO was in the Walmart at 10900 Parkside Drive. While in the store officer noticed a 43-year-old white male that had been involved in an attempted shoplifting earlier at the Walmart at 8445 Walbrook Drive. As officer watched the suspect the officer observed him grab a Starbucks canned drink from the Walmart cooler and drink it. The suspect then discarded the drink and walked out of the store without paying for it. This was also observed by Walmart complainant loss prevention. KCSO stopped the suspect in the Walmart parking lot and detained him in KCSO patrol car. KCSO officers had been informed earlier that the suspect was with a 31-year-old white male at the Walmart off Walbrook Drive when they attempted to shoplift there. KCSO went back in the store to find the second suspect. KCSO was informed by loss prevention that he was currently watching the second suspect who had a cart full of merchandise. Loss prevention was watching the second suspect due to his history of walking out with merchandise and not paying for it. When the second suspect noticed loss prevention watching him he left the cart with the merchandise in the isle and exited the store. KCSO apprehended the second suspect in the Walmart parking lot. Neither suspect had money to pay for any merchandise. Further investigation revealed that witness/loss prevention saw both suspects in the Walmart off Walbrook Drive and the second suspect had been previously given written trespass warnings from a witness on Nov. 15, 2016, at the Rockwood Walmart and from another witness Aug. 8, 2013, and Sept. 5, 2012, at the Lenoir City Walmart. A check through NCIC revealed that the second suspect had a warrant for failure to appear for theft in Roane County. Both suspects were arrested. Estimated loss is $2.78.

• On Dec. 18, 2016, at around 9:03 p.m., KCSO responded to an attempted residential burglary at Clear Ridge Road. Upon arrival, KCSO made contact with the complainant who stated while out of town he was going to have cable/internet installed in the residence. Complainant stated the installer could not make entry due to the dead bolt lock being “jammed.” Upon my investigation there were no signs of entry or any signs of the door/locks being tampered with (dead bolt was not functioning properly).
