FHS trifecta going to state

Choral director Kenton Deitch works with Farragut High School Ensemble, an audition-only group of 23. The choir, along with the school’s other two choirs — Advanced Mixed Ensemble, an audition-only group of 51, and the Advanced Female Choir, a non-audition group of 53 — scored high enough at the March 1 East Tennessee Vocal Association’s J.B. Lyle Choral Festival to earn a trip to the state competition in April. Advanced Female Choir scored all 1s, the highest score. The choirs were judged at Pellissippi State Community College. The state competition is in Nashville Thursday, April 27. The choral students will host other choirs at FHS the next day, Friday, April 28.
