I encounter many Farragut walkers and joggers along Smith Road, both in the morning and evening. At the (Fox Den Country Club) golf course area, the fallen pine needles and protruding branches intrude into half of the walkway. This is unsightly, uncomfortable and potentially dangerous.

Can the Fox Den and Farragut Town maintenance crews not work together to prune the branches back to the trunks and sweep up the debris off the street and sidewalk? Encountering foot traffic would be so much more pleasant. The view from the golf course is beautiful. From the sidewalk it’s an aesthetic disaster area. We can do so much better. This would cost pennies compared to what has been poured into the traffic-calming islands.
