• At 8:47 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit responded to an Everett Road address to investigate a residential burglary. The victim said between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. an unknown suspect forced entry into her home thorugh the front door and stole items with a total value listed at $1,550. Items stolen included jewelry, a jewelry box and a Kodak antique camera valued at $700. A neighbor told the victim at around 4:30 p.m. a black SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe, was in the victim’s driveway.

• At 5:44 p.m., Dec. 6, a KCSO unit was notified by a complainant from Belk, 11397 Parkside Drive, the defendant was concealing $37.14 worth of merchandise in her sweatshirt. Defendant passed last point of sale and attempted to leave the store when stopped by complainant. Officer took defendant into custody without incident.

• At 4:38 p.m., Dec. 6, KCSO units responded to Walmart, 10900 Parkside Drive, on report of a theft. The witness and store loss prevention officer observed arrestees concealing merchandise inside the store. Both male arrestees passed the last point of sale and attempted to leave the store without paying. A witness attempted to stop both suspects and was assaulted by one male arrestee, who pushed him, then fled into the breezeway. An officer who was inside the store immediately responded and observed that male arrestee attempting to flee the store. Officer attempted to stop the male arrestee, who then assaulted the officer by pushing him into a 76-year-old woman — who fell to the ground and was injured and transported to Parkwest Hospital — before continuing to flee. Reporting officer went to assist officer who was pushed but had detained the male arrestee, who was aggressively resisting. Reporting officer delivered one cycle from his department-issued taser. The suspect, who was now laying on the ground, refused multiple orders to show his hands, which were under him. At this time, fearing for officer safety, reporting officer delivered a second cycle from his taser and was able to cuff the arrestee under power. Both arrestees were placed into custody and transported to Knox County Detention Facility. One male arrestee was found to be in possession of $193.17 in stolen merchandise and the other was found to be in possession of $11.89.

• At 9:15 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit at KCSO to report an incident from the Stokley Company, 620 N. Campbell Station Road. She advised on Nov. 1 a check had been placed in the mailbox at the business written out to TDS in the amount of $156.27. She advised they had been contacted by TDS stating they still hadn’t received payment and at the time the check was considered to have been lost in the mail, and a second check was sent out. She advised on Wednesday, Dec. 5, the account was checked and it was discovered the check had been stolen, with the suspect’s information on the check, and the amount changed to $8,900.

• At 7:04 p.m., Dec. 5, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report theft of merchandise from Kohl’s, 11530 Kingston Pike. Complainant advised the suspects entered the store around 6:30 p.m. and began walking around the store. Around 6:50 p.m. the suspects attempted to leave the store with unpaid merchandise shoved under their clothes. Complainant said he stopped the suspects and was able to retrieve the stolen items before the suspects got into a gray Chevrolet pickup truck and left. Total retail price of the adidas and Under Armour clothing was listed at $130.

• At 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft at Tennessee State Bank, 11470 Parkside Drive. Complainant advised he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen his debit card numbers to withdraw $303 at the bank’s ATM, which took place at 6:22 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3. He found an earlier fraudulent withdrawal, which took place at 10:43 a.m., Dec. 3, at another Tennessee State Bank branch (7500 Old Clinton Pike). He advised the card was still in his possession during the time of theft.

• At 9:22 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3, a KCSO unit was dispatched to Jet’s Pizza, 11124 Kingston Pike, for a burglary. At 4:12 a.m., camera footage showed two males dressed in grey sweatsuits with hoods broke through the back door using a pry bar. Once inside, one of the males kicked the office door open and opened the filing cabinet, where store management usually keeps money. The money was not inside so they went to two cash registers and took $600 ($300 from each register). The alarm was not set when the last employee left the store at approximately 11:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2. A forensic technician processed the scene.

• At 10:25 a.m., Dec. 3, a Melody Lane complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report an incident at TVA Employees Credit Union, 11490 Parkside Drive. He advised an unknown suspect used his debit card numbers to withdrawal $160 from the ATM.

• At 3:57 a.m., Dec. 3, KCSO units responded to a Kingston Pike restaurant (not identified in the report), 11124 Kingston Pike, in regards to an alarm/burglary. Upon arriving on scene officers observed the rear door handle of the business had been broken. Officers observed a cash register monitor on the floor and a safe, which had been broken into. X-ray responded and processed the scene. Damaged and stolen items, which included $600 in cash, had a value listed at $2,101.

• At 4:16 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3, I, KCSO units responded to an alarm at Marcos Pizza, 12552 Kingston Pike. The side glass door had been shattered. Dispatch and officers were unsuccessful in locating a key holder. It is unknown if any property was taken. A forensic officer responded to the scene. Officers were unable to secure the door.

• At 5:55 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, officers responded to Walmart, 10900 Parkside Drive. The witness, a loss prevention officer, said he witnessed the arrestee concealing merchandise inside the store. The arrestee was destroying store merchandise by removing it from its packaging and concealing it on her person. Officers made the decision to make contact with the arrestee in order to prevent her from destroying anymore store property. Officers located merchandise inside her pockets valued at $37.21. Arrestee had trespassed from Walmart properties earlier this year. Arrestee was transported to Knox County Detention Facility.

• A West Wadsworth Circle complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an incident at Days Inn, 9240 Parkwest Blvd. Victim advised her 2001 Ford Taurus, which was borrowed by her grandson, was stolen at Days Inn between 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, and 2:05 p.m., Dec. 2. Complainant advised her grandson doesn’t have a cell number, but she would get in touch with him for more details of the incident. Complainant advised she does not have any details of the incident but was just told by her grandson the vehicle was stolen. At time of this report there were no known suspects. Estimated value of loss was listed at $2,500.
