Twelve Lady Ads score versus KCHS

KNOXVILLE — As expected, it was a split decision at Knoxville Catholic High School Friday night, Jan. 18, while hosting Farragut in District 4-AAA hoops action.

Catholic’s boys kept a firm hold on the No. 3 spot in the 4-AAA standings following a 72-45 victory. Improving to 8-3 in district, KCHS stood at 17-4 overall.

The Admirals’ district mark fell to 4-7.

Meanwhile, Farragut’s girls improved to 8-3 in district, 18-5 overall, after a cakewalk 72-15 win against the struggling KCHS Lady Irish.

Twelve Lady Admirals reached the scoring column at KCHS, led by Sydney Chapman, senior wing, with 15.

Next was Avery “Ace” Strickland, Lady Ads freshman guard, adding 10 points, followed by Claire Wyatt, junior wing/post, scoring nine.

Keeleigh Rogers and McCall Willis each had seven points, followed by Macy Barnes with six. Morgan Carbaugh and Brooke Christian added five apiece for FHS. Gabi Duncan, Ashlyn Sheridan and Lauren White each scored two points apiece, while Saige Carbaugh hit a free throw.

Catholic was led in scoring by Mary Iverson, who had six.

Kennedy Noe added four points, while Sam Kaczmarek scored three and Natalie Perry two points.
