Gerlach, Town resident, now with Edward Jones branch in Farragut

Edward Jones welcomes Farragut resident Cory J. Gerlach, a fanancial advisor, to its Farragut office at 11911 Kingston Pike, Suite 101-A.

“I am extremely excited to be working in Farragut,” he said. “I had a strong desire to work in the community where my wife and I live and raised our two daughters.”

His wife, Christie, is a third-grade teacher at Farragut Intermediate School. His youngest daughter is a senior at Farragut High School, with plans to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, next year, and his oldest daughter is a junior at UTK.

“My family and I have lived in Farragut for 15 years, so I had a strong desire to work in the Farragut community,” said Gerlach, who has been with Edward Jones for nine months. ”Edward Jones was looking to add financial advisors in Farragut, so I was fortunate to be placed in Farragut.

“The office that I am working out of has been open for more than eight years and belongs to financial advisor Laura Mollenhour,” he added. “At Edward Jones, our key focus areas include helping individuals and families with retirement savings strategies, retirement income strategies, college savings, divorce finances, estate and legacy strategies and insurance and annuities.”

Within the next six to 12 months, he will be establishing a new branch office near the intersection of Campbell Station and Grigsby Chapel roads, he added.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to serve and give back to people in the Farragut community,” he said. “I work diligently to understand what’s important to individuals and families, use an established process to build personalized strategies to help them achieve their goals, and then partner with them throughout their lifetime to keep them on track to reach their goals,” Gerlach said.

He attended college in his home state of Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and minored in business management at Moorhead State University. He later earned a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in finance, from St. Cloud State University.

Prior to Edward Jones, he spent 23 years working in the supply chain management field in the marine industry and for a few different diversified manufacturing companies, Gerlach said.

“I worked as director of supply chain management for Heil Trailer International in Athens, Tennessee,” he said. “Heil is a global manufacturer of aluminum tanker trailers.”

Farragut’s Edward Jones’ office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, Gerlach said he also is available to meet with clients later in the evening and on Saturdays.
