Town event expands to Country July 12, Blues July 13

Planning to double up the fun versus past summers, Town of Farragut and Shop Farragut announce the new MUSICFEST at West End presented by SouthEast Bank for two days in mid-July.

Farragut merchants and local vendors will move outside to showcase their products and services to crowds, who will enjoy the performances of more than two dozen musicians playing Country and Blues music.

Replacing Red, White & Blues Jam, which was a one-day event, MUSICFEST at West End is scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday July 12 (featuring Country music), and from 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday July 13 (featuring Blues), in West End shopping center parking lot just south of Farragut High School.

Special discounts, attractions and giveaways will highlight the days as patrons shop, dine or just enjoy the live music under the large festival tent.

Event entry is free to the public and family-friendly, with children activities provided by One Life Church. Many local and regional bands will highlight both days:

Attendees can enjoy barbecue from Buddy’s Bar-B-Q, or a smoothie from Fruition Café, alongside offerings from other area vendors including West End eateries Don Delfis Pancake House and Restaurant and Clean Eatz.

Beer, wine and other adult offerings will be served with the help of the Eschelon Bike Shop, Mind Yer P’s & Q’s, Water Into Wine bistro & lounge and Don Delfis restaurant. Proper ID is required.

Soft drinks, lemonade and water will be available.

Other participating West End merchants include Lace & Glam Bridal Shop, McEntire & Mays Interiors, Farmers Insurance, EXIT Realty, Edward Jones Investments, Goodwill, Salon 1551, Heidi’s Gym, Aurora Pools & Spas, OFF THE TOP Barber Shop, East Tennessee Spine & Sport and Dance Center West — the oldest business in West Knox County.

Entertainment sponsors include Genesis of Knoxville, Masskus Productions, Clean Eatz Stores of Farragut and Bearden, Amare Global: The Mental Wellness Company, Home Trust Bank and Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union.
