• East Tennesssee Children’s Hospital president/CEO Keith Goodwin has announccd plans to retire. He has been president/CEO of Children’s Hospital since 2007. A committee of the hospital’s Board of Directors plans to name his successor in early 2020.

• Alex Widmer, Vessul Creative’s co-founder, has joined Knoxville-based Petro’s Chili & Chips, owned by Vessul Creative, as area supervisor and the company’s newest corporate team member. Petro’s Chili & Chips was started 37 years ago during the 1982 World’s Fair by brothers Dale, Keith and Randy Widmer in West Town Mall. In 2011, Dan Pool of Pool’s Restaurant Group joined the Widmers as a partner. Alex Widmer is the son of Dale Widmer.

• Dr. Eddie Brown, D.O., has joined Tennova Primary Care & Occupational Health — East Towne at 4711 Centerline Drive, Knoxville, with a new practice. Brown is a family medicine physician, specializing in caring for men, women and young adults ages 18 and older.

• Mike Brown has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a senior vice president and financial advisor, supporting the firm’s client services team. He is based at Pinnacle’s Maryville office. With 37 years of experience, he comes from SmartBank, formerly Foothills Bank & Trust, where he was vice president of commercial and consumer lending.
