FHS girls still near 4-AAA top

With a challenging District 4-AAA road trip to always tough William Blount Tuesday night, Jan. 28 (after press deadline), Jason Mayfield’s Farragut Lady Admirals entered the week with a chance to make a serious run at the top spot — at least a share of it — in the district standings.

Starting the week at 7-2 in district and chasing perennial 4-AAA powers Bearden and Maryville (the two teams having already beaten FHS), the Lady Admirals host the BHS Lady Bulldogs starting at 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, in Lynn E. Sexton Gymnasium.

Sophomores Avery “Ace” Strickland and McCall Willis each added 10 points, while Madison Hodge and Gabi Duncan scored eight apiece and Ashlyn Sheridan two.
