Near perfect weather greeted more than 450 members of the Farragut High School Class of 2020 (from a total of 476) along with a packed house of parents and well-wishers in the stands of Bill Clabo Field for FHS Commencement Exercises Friday evening, June 19.

While many accomplishments were celebrated, the unique challenges faced by these seniors — a worldwide pandemic shutting down the final two months of their academic, athletic and extra-curricular activities, followed by national unrest in search of racial justice — were acknowledged in words and actions. Along with first-year FHS principal Dr. John Bartlett, dignitaries on hand included Knox County Schools superintendent Robert Thomas.
