Concord Christian School recently recognized its top female and top male athlete for the 2019-20 school year — both from the Class of 2020: Madi Mee, was awarded Miss Lion, and Bryce Baxter (above right) was awarded Mr. Lion. These awards are given to outstanding athletes who also excel academically and in giving to the community. “These two athletes have been a foundational part of the athletic program at Concord,” said CCS athletic director Shane Mynatt (on the left in Mee photo, on the right in Baxter photo) who presented the awards. During her high school career, Mee was a multi-sport varsity athlete, playing girls soccer, basketball and softball during her tenure and regularly leading her team both on and off the field and court. Scott Graham, CCS High School girls basketball head coach (on the right in Mee photo), recognized Mee as “an amazing athlete and a true leader.”

Baxter was recognized last season as the All-time leading scorer for the CCS boys basketball program. “Bryce led by example at school and in the community,” said Mike Wilkins, CCS High School boys basketball head coach (on the left in Baxter photo).
