Sherwin-Williams adds paint store in Hardin Valley

With the growing Hardin Valley area, Sherwin-Williams has added a store at 10867 Hardin Valley Road that opened Monday, Sept. 28.
“I’m excited,” store manager Courtney Brown said about Sherwin-Williams’ new store. “I live in Hardin Valley, so I’m really excited to work in a store in my neighborhood.
“We have a lot of customers whom we know who have been shopping in other stores that live over here, as well, ... Our wholesale customer base is pretty loyal, and we know them on a personal level since they come in on an almost daily basis,” she added.
The increasing number of homes being built drew Sherwin-Williams to the Hardin Valley community.
“It’s the fastest growing area in Greater Knoxville, with all the neighborhoods coming up here,” Brown said. “We have a store in Farragut, we have one at Cedar Bluff, but there are so many neighborhoods being built here ... we wanted to have a convenient location.”
Although most of its business is to wholesale customers, such as contractors, Brown also sees a large DIY customer base.
Sherwin-Williams also offers to customize paints for its customers. “Somebody brings in a sample — they can really bring in anything — for us to custom match,” Brown said. “Sherwin-Williams also provides a free 30-minute virtual color consultation with a professional designer in the form of a video chat.
“For our contractors in the Knoxville district, we have 14 sales reps who work on site with our customers, so they will go to the jobs, they will help with product recommendations or with any issues, with marketing,” she added.
Sherwin-Williams also has a color visualizer app, also available online, where you can upload a photo of your home’s exterior or interior and “try on different paint colors” virtually, Brown said.
Store hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
