With small children and their young parents everywhere getting their first up-close look at Town of Farragut’s expanded annual Light the Park display — while doing well to stay socially distanced — Parks & Recreation Department, with assistance from the Town’s Parks & Athletics Council, handed out a few hundred cookies in Founders Park at Campbell Station beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Such Light the Park fun will continue at Founders Park through Saturday, Jan. 2.

The Town had planned a grand-opening celebration for the new Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza, at the corner of North Campbell Station Road and Kingston Pike behind Campbell Station Inn. However, in order to keep the community and visitors safe in a time of rising pandemic numbers, the dedication and event has been postponed. A new date has not been set.

Visitors are still welcome to enjoy the lights at the plaza, community center and Founders Park through Jan. 2 – the Town asks that you please do so responsibly by following the five core actions.
