• At 10:29 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, Knox County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a Rainforest Drive Apartment in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers came into contact with the complainant/victim/suspect, who said she wanted her son removed from her residence. Officers located the suspect, her son, in the living room who appeared to be intoxicated on an unknown substance. Due to his intoxication, suspect was restrained. As officers began trying to restrain suspect, he began fighting back, refusing to give up his hands and was trying to roll away. Suspect also refused to stand up when instructed.

While officers were conducting a patdown on suspect, the complainant kept walking behind officers telling suspect to leave her house. Officers instructed the victim to exit the room multiple times, but she refused. While officers were restraining the complainant, she became aggressive and began to fight the officers. Officers drive-stunned complainant to force compliance and did restrain her. Complainant told officers she had been drinking and had taken sleeping medications. Suspect was arrested for criminal trespass, for refusing to leave when instructed by officers, resisting arrest and for resisting being restrained. Complainant was arrested for interfering with a police investigation and for fighting with officers when being detained.

• At 1:09 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, KCSO units responded to a Willow Ridge Road residence in reference to a missing welfare check. Upon arrival, officers were unable to make contact with anyone at the residence. Officers contacted the complainant, who advised she had been in contact with suspect since Monday or Tuesday evening, Dec. 7 or Dec. 8, and also has been contacted by suspect’s utility company about a 24-hour period where water was running in his residence. Complainant is suspect’s power of attorney, and gave consent to the officers for entering the residence through the garage. Officers made entry and cleared the residence per welfare check. Suspect was not located in the residence. A neighbor stepped out and informed officers the suspect had left a couple hours prior with a friend that takes her to appointments, etc.

• At 10:22 p.m., Dec. 11, a KCSO unit responded to 11341 Campbell Lakes Drive in reference to a theft at a hotel. Officer made contact with victim and property owner, who said his laptop was missing. Victim said he met the suspect at Buffalo Wild Wings and they went back to his room. Victim said suspect left his room, possibly with the laptop, but is not sure as to what exactly happen to his laptop due to him being intoxicated. Total value of loss was listed at $2,500.

• At 9:13 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft from a Farragut Drive residence. Victim advised the suspect, whom she allowed inside the residence, had taken her purse and ran out the door to his vehicle. She advised she shouted at the suspect as he was leaving, but he entered his vehicle and left the scene (white color; no other details reported). Total value of loss was listed at $1,465 — $1,000 of which was a wedding ring (two hearts with diamonds).

• At 2:36 p.m., Dec. 10, a complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report vandalism. On Nov. 30, he recalled noticing a 1,200-pound ornamental rock in his front yard had been moved at least 30 feet, tearing up the yard, a lamp post anchored with 800 pounds of concrete had been knocked over and rose bushes had been run over. Complainant believes it was a powerful vehicle, such as a heavy truck, that did the damage. Total value of damage was listed at $3,000.
