• Wells Fargo Advisors Inc.’s first vice presidents, Jerry Faerber, Yancey Carter and Ken Hayes, and senior vice presidents Nelson Patterson, Don Morris and Ron Henry recently were named Premier Advisors as members of the firm’s Premier Advisor Program.

The distinction is held by a select group of financial advisors measured by educational components completed, business production and professionalism.

• Dr. Rebecca Gompf, MS, DVM, DACVIM, who recently retired from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association.

Among the first female faculty hired at UTCVM, she has been a cardiologist at the college since 1978 and has taught cardiology to students in every class of the veterinary college.

She also provides service and consultations to veterinarians across Tennessee and beyond.

• Jack Lathrop recently was chosen as one of Food City’s district winners. Customer service coordinator for Food City 694, Dean Hill in District 7, Lathrop received the Claude P. Varney Humanitarian Award for Outstanding Volunteerism.

A believer in the power of community service, Lathrop has volunteered at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and Ridgedale Baptist Church.

• Tennessee Valley Asset Management Partners is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Senior partners and Certified Financial Planner pros Scott Fisher, Jeff Foster and Jeff Sweat founded TVAMP in 2011.
