UScellular shows appreciation to teachers

Staff and teachers at eight area schools — including Farragut Primary and Farragut High schools — enjoyed unexpected sweet treats last week courtesy of UScellular, as the company celebrated recent openings of three area stores.

“UScellular dropped off hundreds of doughnuts and thank -you notes to teachers and staff at eight West Knoxville (and Farragut) schools this week to show appreciation for their hard work in the community,” a press release stated.

“UScellular takes pride in being a positive contributor to the communities we serve,” said Nathan Waddell, UScellular’s director of sales in East Tennessee. “Students are our next generation of engineers, associates and leaders.

“As we expand our presence in West Knoxville, we wanted to acknowledge the hardworking teachers who are nurturing this next generation during a pandemic,” he added.

In addition to FPS and FHS, UScellular associates delivered the doughnuts and notes to Knoxville Christian Academy, West Hills Elementary, Bearden Middle School, A.L. Lotts Elementary, West Valley Middle School, Cedar Bluff Elementary — all close to the following new store locations:
