New time — now 6 p.m. for BOMA; FMPC still 7 p.m.

Farragut’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted during its regular bi-monthly meeting Thursday, May 27, to begin its meetings one hour earlier starting this month.

Earlier in the evening, the Board approved on second reading an ordinance amendment removing the listed time and place of regular meetings.

Mayor Ron Williams had suggested moving the meetings from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. to help mitigate late hours for Town staff, who also attend the BOMA meetings, and the Board agreed, voting unanimously to make the change. Alderman Drew Burnette said it would be better for his schedule, too.

BOMA (and Farragut Municipal Planning Commission) also will be moving back to Town Hall for its regular June meetings after meeting in Farragut Community Center throughout May.
