Seaver is new bridge between CAK softball programs

KNOXVILLE — It should be a seamless transition, culture-wise, when Christian Academy of Knoxville Middle School softball players elevate to the CAK High School level after the hiring of the new high school head coach.

Hannah Seaver, who in 2019 “began coaching the middle school softball team,” was named the school’s new high school coach as told in a CAK press release Friday, June 4.

However, “she will continue to coach” the CAK Middle School team, the release added about Seaver, who also teaches art at CAK.

“Hannah affords us a seamless, consistent culture and coaching philosophy within our two softball teams,” CAK athletic director Ried Estus said. “While she values hard work, she has an uplifting spirit, and her coaching is affirming and confidence-building.”

She will be looking to rebuild a program that won back-to-back state championships in 2016 and 2017 before falling on hard times of late.
