Award-winning Ken Sparks film Jan. 7-13 at Regal in Turkey Creek

“Sparks: The Ken Sparks Story,” which had its world premier last fall at Knoxville Film Festival, will be screened for general audiences Jan. 7–13 in 15 Regal theaters around the south, including two in Knoxville, one of which is Regal Pinnacle Stadium 18 & IMAX in Turkey Creek.

The documentary about the former Farragut High School and Carson-Newman University football head coach was written, produced and directed by Farragut resident and FHS grad Jeff Joslin, who played for Sparks at both schools and was a member of the C-N team winning back-to-back national championships.

“It has won 11 awards and has been selected to screen at 15 film festivals in 2022, with 11 still undecided,” Joslin said.

While the 6:50 p.m. showing already is sold out, Joslin suggested attending the 4 p.m. showing or the recently added 7:20 p.m. showing “to be part of the red carpet event.

“Come say hello, meet the cast, directors, producers and get your picture taken on the red carpet,” he added.
