No. 1 at state among public schools, Aqua Admirals 2nd overall

NASHVILLE — Finishing as Tennessee’s top swimming and diving team among public high schools, the Farragut girls and boys took second-place overall as combined teams during Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association State High School Swimming & Diving Championships in Tracy Caulkins Competition Pool Centennial Sportsplex Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12.

Top 16 Aqua Admirals finishes were:

Abigail King, 100-yard backstroke, third place; women’s 400-free relay, fifth (King, Karley Wolfgram, Katelyn Kramer and Gracie LaCharite); LaCharite, 500-free, sixth; men’s 400-free relay, sixth (Camden Gerchar, Leo Karnitz, Cade Austin and Ryder Hicks); Wolfgram, 100-breast, eighth; Cam Croy, diving, eighth; Women’s 200 free relay, ninth (Kendall Hudgens, Sophie Lu, Kramer and Karolina Nosarzewski); Nosarzewski, 100-breaststroke, 13th; and Gerchar, 100-free, 15th.

Broken down by gender, the Lady Aqua Admirals took third place, while the FHS boys finished 11th.
