Teachers laud Wilson after his perfect ACT

Sam Wilson, a senior at Farragut High School with a 3.96 grade-point average, recently earned a perfect 36 ACT score.

A member of the Improv team and Book Club at FHS, Sam is going to attend Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where he plans to study creative writing.

“Sam is a delight to have in class; he is insightful and brings a depth of knowledge to classroom conversations that sparks others to inquiry,” said Julie Dorsey, FHS social studies teacher.

“Samuel is a thoughtful and articulate student who consistently fosters meaningful discussions in the classroom,” said Samantha Perchich, an AP literature teacher at FHS.

“... Samuel’s respectful approach to dialogue and his genuine curiosity make him a pleasure to have in class,” she added.
