Knoxville Christian School packed 10,000 meals for families dealing with food insecurity in the Appalachian region of Kentucky during its annual Feed the Need Day Friday, April 25. “Our entire campus, from kindergarten through 12th grade, worked in shifts to fill, measure, sort, seal and pack food,” said Emily Miller, KCS marketing director. “As a campus community, we raised over $24,000. This event truly reflects the Knoxville Christian School community: it’s coming together to serve and meet a community need. It’s a day we all look forward to every year. This is our third year participating in Feed the Need. Together, we make a difference — all in the name of Jesus Christ. It takes a lot of teamwork to pull this event off, and we are proud of our older students helping our younger students to make it happen.”
