First in Tennessee: Flying Biscuit Café to open May 25
The Flying Biscuit Café has announced its newest location, 11683 Parkside Drive in Knoxville, will open this Sunday, May 25.
“The Knoxville location marks the brand’s 38th location nationwide and its first location in Tennessee,” a FBC press release stated.
The newest Flying Biscuit location will be owned and operated by Knoxville resident and entrepreneur Chris Compton, who brings more than 20 years of experience owning and operating multiple startup ventures, according to the press release.
“Having worked with restaurants for many years through his other businesses, Compton saw Flying Biscuit Café as the perfect fit for Knoxville,” the release further stated.
“I’ve always wanted to own a great place where families can eat and enjoy themselves,” Compton stated. “We need more breakfast and brunch options in this area, and Flying Biscuit offers both incredible food and a welcoming atmosphere. I’m especially excited to open the first Flying Biscuit Café in the state of Tennessee — and within our community.”
“For 30 years and counting, the Flying Biscuit Café has redefined the Southern breakfast scene, where comfort food meets fresh, fun and bold flavors,” the press release stated. “By serving up classic all-day brunch seven days a week, Flying Biscuit has built a cult following with its bold twists on Southern classics, double shot Bloody Mary and a menu that embraces every craving, from the decadent stuffed French toast to the health-conscious Piedmont omelet, vegan to gluten-free.
“Flying Biscuit knows great food brings everyone to the table,” the release further stated. “To better serve the Knoxville community, Flying Biscuit Café provides a range of catering services with customizable menus to suit any event or gathering.”
There are a variety of grand opening specials the first two weeks of opening, such as The Fabulous 50, when the first 50 guests can receive a gift card; phone eats first promotion, Student Day, and Teacher Appreciation Day.
Operating hours are from 7 to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 7 to 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
The restaurant also offers takeout and delivery. For more information on The Flying Biscuit Café, visit flyingbiscuit.com or follow along on social media @flyingbiscuitknoxville.
