Quite a multi-tasking broadcast pair at WFIV

A pair of passionate Farragut High School diamond fans — both known for their multi-tasking skills as broadcasters, public address announcers and statisticians — have made WFIV-FM 105.3 the home of FHS baseball and softball broadcasting in the 2020s.

Perhaps they’ve been a good-luck charm for their favorite team “going all the way” and claiming the gold hardware six times in late May since 2021.

Erik Gerhardt, “Voice of the Admirals” in football and basketball, has joined long-time “Voice of Admirals baseball” Ralph Skinner to broadcast four consecutive Admirals baseball state championships.

Gerhardt, meanwhile, also has “voiced” two Lady Admirals softball state crowns (2021, 2022).
