Time to celebrate

FWKCC holiday open house final networking of 2025

Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce again will celebrate the holidays with Chamber members and guests at its annual Holiday

Open House from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9, in Farragut Community Center.

“This is our chamber’s final networking gathering, where we invite members and their guests to just celebrate with each other: wins, milestones, memories and to share in the anticipation for what the new year has in store,” FWKCC president/CEO Julie Blaylock stated in an e-mail.

“This year’s HOH will feature Networking Bingo and prizes courtesy of our co-host, our very own West Young Professionals; holiday music by the Akima Singers; and a showcase of sips and samples from members: Ancient Lore Village, Dixie Lee Wines & Liquors, Drifting Daisy Mobile Bar, The Casual Pint Beerstro Northshore, City Catering, Classy Caterer, Coffee & Chocolate, Copper Cellar Marketplace, Euphoric Cheese Shop and new to

the Knoxville market, Good Batch Mama,” Blaylock stated.

“We not only invite you to attend but to help lift up a member non-profit and some of the clients they serve through the return of the holiday wish lists,” she said.

“This year’s non-profit is our Knoxville Family Justice Center, one of the first-ever centers of its kind in the country, which was created to offer one safe/central location where victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse can access comprehensive services, like legal aid, counseling and housing resources under one roof,” Blaylock said. “With data proving that domestic violence rises during the holidays, it’s important to note they are also one of the only organizations who help clients with pets in tow, knowing a victim may not leave a dangerous situation if they fear a left-behind pet will be harmed.”

How can you be part of this year’s 2026 Holiday Open House? Easy, she said.

• Stop by with or without a guest or two. “Our West Young Professionals will be co-hosting with Holiday Networking Bingo for prizes, and you’ll meet/taste samples from eight of our local member restaurants/caterers. People are asked to RSVP at the Chamber.”

• Optional: Bring an item or two to the event from the general wish list to help stock the KFJC pantry/supply closet for visiting clients. All items donated need to be brought to the Farragut Community Center the night of the event, not the Chamber office.

The wish list includes: ongoing client support needs, such as gift cards ($25 to $50) from Food City, Kroger, Walmart Target; gas cards (any station, $25–$50); Tracfone $25 Plan – 500 min / 1000 text / 500MB data (60-day plan).

It also includes non-perishable food and snack donations, such as Entenmann’s Little Bites - chocolate chip mini muffins, Kraft Mac & Cheese Cups, Campbell’s Chunky Soup – Loaded Potato with Bacon or any flavor, Jack Link’s beef jerky, Mott’s 100 percent apple juice, V8 strawberry banana juice, V8 Deliciously Green Juice or Quaker chewy granola bars of any variety/flavor.
