Master gardeners announce April events
• Master gardener Shelia McNeely will present how to start seeds. “Starting Spunky Sprouts” will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Bearden Branch Library, 100 Golf
Club Road, and 11 a.m., Saturday, April 18 at Cedar Bluff
Library, 9045 Cross Park

• Master gardener Gina Bond will lead wildflower hikes from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 9, and from 10 to 11:30, Tuesday, Apr. 21, at South Knoxville’s Dean’s Woods.

• Farragut Branch Library will host a plant clinic with a master gardener from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays, April 11 and April 18, at 417 N. Campbell Station Road.
• An Ijams nature walk with master gardeners Gina Bond and Nancy Howell and Ijams staff Kyle Preston will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14. Register at Register at:

• Master gardener Cid Letsinger will answer garden and plant questions from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 18, at the Norwood Branch Library, 1110 Merchant Dr.

• Racheff Gardens and Arboretum, a Knox County Master Gardener project, will have open gardens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, at 1943 Tennessee Ave.
• A tree walk Thursday, April 23, at Racheff Gardens and Arboretum will begin at 5:30 p.m. with master gardener Tom Welborn. Register at:

• Burlington Branch Library will have a master gardener from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 25, to answer garden questions. The library is located at 4614 Asheville Hwy.
• Guided nature walks will be available 9 a.m., Saturday, April 25, and 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Collier Preserve, 316 W. Emory Road, with master gardener Sara Bryant.
