Shop Farragut ‘gaining momentum’
Less than a month later, Tuesday, March 5, Lynch greeted business owners from across the Town at the organization’s March Biz Mixer.
The event was held at the Farragut Community Center and offered a chance for Lynch to greet the people she has already made a steadfast effort to get to know.
“They love Farragut; they want to be more involved; and they want to participate in Shop Farragut in all ways,” Lynch said of the feedback. “It’s been very humbling, very welcoming. Everyone has been really sweet to me, really nice and informative, and I’m learning as I go.”
During her introduction, Lynch noted the organization’s website is “under construction.”
Her overall approach, however, is not.
“We’re going to keep going strong, meeting business and gaining momentum,” she said to the crowd. “Next year, I fully plan to bring back some old events.”
Lynch and Shop Farragut/FBA president Candace Viox both hinted at the return of “Taste of Farragut” as they spoke.
Also, Viox noted the organization’s social media improvements since Lynch has
been in charge, adding she, too, has heard great feedback from business owners across the Town.
“Everyone has been very excited,” she said. “Our online content has greatly improved with the videos and things Ashley has created, and she’s reached out to businesses so it’s been very positive.”
Going forward, the organization is preparing for its biggest draw of the summer, Dog
Daze. Viox said the deposit already has been placed for the event, which will take place Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 13-15.
“Owners of the businesses are very excited to see her so active with them, and we are looking forward to some of our events,” Viox said. “We are excited for the year ahead.”
