A fresh addition to Biddle Farms
Nekter Juice Bar, 112 Brooklawn St., Suite A, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting, Friday, Aug. 21, of its second store in Knox County.
“It’s always great when we have a brand new business come to Farragut, especially one that’s not in the area right now,” Town of Farragut administrator David Smoak said. “So, it’s exciting. I’m happy for the owners to invest their time, effort and resources into having a business in the Town of Farragut, and we wish them great success.”
“I love it,” Said Jay Patel, manager along with his sister, Riya Patel, assistant manager, who live near Farragut.
Nekter Juice Bar is owned by Haresh Patel, a family friend, who opened the original location at 5362 Kingston Pike near Anthropology in Bearden.
“It’s kind of a famous store over there by that area, so he decided to move a second location here [in Farragut],” Jay Patel said.
The juice bar offers quality organic smoothies, acai bowls, juices and cold-pressed juice cleanses.
“There are a lot of, you know, chemical items in foods in every restaurant and much like oil,” he said. “You know, most of the junk foods right everywhere.”
Without the additives, “it might help the neighborhood to know Nekter Bar has organic clean ingredients,” Jay Patel said. “It’s like you can see the ingredient list and it’s gonna be like all organic ingredients, no natural, no artificial sweeteners or anything.
“For the sugar, we just only have the agave,” he said. “That’s natural. That’s the only sugar we have, but that’s natural. It comes from the plant.
Jay said the juices are fresh pressed in store.
“They have all clean ingredients, not mixed with artificial sweetener or anything,” he added.
Why come to Farragut? “We just wanted to make, our neighbors healthy,” Jay answered.
The shop also carries parfaits, protein waffles and some deli snacks.
People can dine in or order online with the Nekter app or through Uber Eats, Doordash or GrubHub.
“We also have a kiosk instead of ordering at the counter.”
