Motorists traveling along Kingston Pike and Campbell Station Road met a road closure Monday morning, Sept. 21, on both roads after a tractor-trailer, carrying 51,000 pounds of fiber, overturned at that intersection in front of 35 North. “We got alerted a little after 6 a.m. close to the intersection of Kingston Pike and Campbell Station,” Tennessee Department of Transportation regional communications officer Mark Nagi said. “Kingston Pike got back open about 6:30 a.m., but you’ve still got part of Campbell Station Road closed,” he said. “I know that caused some backups.” Campbell Station Road was reopened by 9 a.m. Monday. Nagi added his department did not know the cause of the wreck, and Tennessee Highway Patrol is still actively investigating the accident. The truck driver was injured, and his condition is unknown, according to reports. There were no fatalities reported.
